The 5 Best Non-Dairy Milk Alternatives

Discover The 5 Best Non-Dairy Milk Healthy Alternatives For Vegans

If you are a member of the vegan community you know that we do not take milk and any dairy by-products as well as meat and any animal products. We have our own reservations for this  and we do not have issues with anybody taking them. And if you want to join us today, welcome to the vegans’ community.

As you know, milk contains some carbohydrates, minerals, proteins, vitamins and fats. These are all essential for boosting immunity, build muscles, maintain healthy hair and nails as well as renew body cells. I know your  question is, which is the best healthy alternative for vegans? Whether you are a real vegan or you  are suffering from a bad allergy, relax. I’ve got some healthy tips for you. I will tell you about various types  of vegan milk and where or how you can use  them for best results.

I agree with the report that says that non-dairy milk is quite healthier compared to cows’ milk. Unlike in those early days when veganism was not popular and finding vegan meals and recipes was an uphill task, today things have changed.

You’ll find all types of non-dairy milk in the supermarkets, but how can you tell which milk is the best in terms of quality and taste. Which one can you use for cooking, baking or along with other recipes. And most importantly, which non dairy milk is most suitable for vegan babies.Look no further. I’ve got a simple guide to help you out

Soy Milk

I love Soy milk because it is richer, hearty and creamy. It has the most proteins compared to other non dairy milk. You can drink it directly from the cup or use with coffee. Can use with cereals. Its slightly sweet. Tastes nutty. Just like the cow milk, I use it with any recipes. Very stable at high temperatures. Best choice for baking. Go for organic, not the GMO soy

Almond Milk

Almond milk is rich in vitamins and no much proteins. I like its slightly sweet taste. Also tastes nutty and creamy. I enjoy taking it directly from my glass or I use it along with coffee and cereals. Suitable for all recipes apart from savory dishes. For desserts and smoothies, almond milk is my best. I use it more because it is easy to make.

Cashew Milk

Cashew milk is almost equal to almond milk  only that it has fewer proteins. I have been using it for drinking or to make coffee and while taking my cereals. Also very good for cooking and baking. I use it on any recipe, especially recipes that go well with cashew nuts.

Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is available in two forms; one available in a can and another one is the coconut milk beverages. I find it rich, creamy and contains good oils but less proteins. I also enjoy taking it directly from my glass or use it in my smoothies and cereals. Suitable for cooking and baking. I like using coconut milk of savory dishes due to its taste.

Oat Milk

I prepare my oat milk using presoaked oatgroats. It is slightly sweet, light and mild. I find it suitable for both sweet and savory dishes. It can be used for drinking or cooking.

Rice Milk

Rice milk is thinner than other non-dairy milk. I make it  by mixing boiled rice and  water,  then addd  sweetener. It has a light sweet taste, I use it on my deserts or while taking coffee.
